The bed looks absolutely gorgeous in person. The headboard and footboard give it a classic, clean appearance that matches almost any bedroom décor. The wood finish is smooth and the overall build feels sturdy and solid. My daughter has been jumping on it (kids will be kids!) and it has held up remarkably well without any wobbling or creaking. No box spring is needed since the slat system provides excellent mattress support, which also saved me extra money.
The wood has a faint smell right out of the box, but it aired out completely within a couple of days.
